2007 Chrysler Pacifica Instrument Cluster Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Service an Instrument Cluster from the Instrument Panel on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: You should start by disconnecting and isolating the negative battery cable when removing the instrument panel. After that, remove the center console cover panel and the front floor console assembly. Release the two screws holding the L-brackets to the instrument panel and take out the nuts that secure the floor braces to it. Lift the steering column opening cover, unscrew the four knee blocker mounts and take out the two screws that fasten the trim outlet plate. Held to dislodge the locking tabs with a Trim Stick C-4755 or a similar tool. Release the braking brake handle from the brake park release bracket and keep the rod in place, then take out the instrument panel reinforcement. Separate the connection at the bulkhead wiring harness and at the body control module wiring harness as well. Take off the steering column shrouds, above and below and then unplug all the wires. Unbolt the pinch bolt and retaining nuts of the steering column and then disconnect the brake light wiring connectors. Take out the steering column retaining nuts and the shift interlock cable. Eliminate the left and right A-pillar trim, toss out the end caps of the instrument panel and bring out the scuff plates from the front doors along with the trim panels beside the cowl. Get rid of the antenna lead connector and lift up on the glove box sides while pushing in and then open and remove the glove box from under. Disconnect the air bag module wiring and take off the cover on top of the module. Unscrew the mounting bolts on the right instrument's cowl bracket, remove the electrical connectors from the pad and remove the three electrical connectors at the bracket. Unplug the right side electrical connector from the A-pillar and take out the two screws securing the instrument panel frame to the panel beneath the windshield. Easy as long as you have help, you can lift the instrument panel from the HVAC so you don't damage the sealing area of the distribution duct. While changing out the instrument panel, place all its parts in the new one.
