How to Service and Repair a Door Latch Assembly on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Removal of the door trim panel is the very first step in servicing the rear door latch. Then, move the door glass all the way to the top and take out the lower rear run channel. Take out the clips holding the linkage rods to the door latch and then pull the linkage rods from the latch. Also remove the screws connecting the latch to the door end frame and then take out the door latch from the vehicle.
