How to Service a Door Latch Assembly on 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Before servicing the rear door latch, remove the door trim and position the door glass all the way up. Take off the lower rear run channel and detach the clips that fasten the linkage rods to the door latch after that. After finishing that, pull out the linkage rods from the latch and remove the screws fastening the latch to the top side of the door. Position the door latch in the right place on the vehicle and put in the screws to attach it to the door end frame during installation. After that, secure the linkage rods and the lock and latch rods to the door latch. After that, put the rear run channel and door trim panel back in place, but do not close the door yet until you adjust the latch.
