You have to remove the center console (7) before servicing or repairing the A/T shifter. After that, remove the battery negative cable from the negative terminal. Afterward, separate the BTSI cable (3, 4) from the shift mechanism and also take the harness connector (1) out. After that, detach the gearshift cable from the mechanism (2, 3). After that, unscrew the four shift mechanism-to-lower console nuts (2) and remove the shift mechanism (1).
