2007 Chrysler Sebring Brake Proportioning Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: What Are the Differences and Thread Sizes for Brake Proportioning Valves on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Products have different proportioning valves and you can't swap them; the valve connected to the primary port has 7/16 in.-24 threads, but the valve going to the secondary port has 3/8 in.-24. Secure the proportioning valve in the port for the master cylinder, using a tightening torque of 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). After that, route the brake tube to the proportioning valve and tighten the tube nut using a torque of 17 Nm or 150 in. lbs. After taking out the brake pedal holder, bleed the affected lines and check the brakes during a road test.
