2007 Chrysler Sebring Parking Brake Shoe Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Parking Brake Shoe on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The first thing is to lift and support the car to access and fix the parking brake shoe. To remove parking brake shoes on both sides, perform the steps on either side as described next. Take out and remove the rear brake rotor (3). Shorten the brake shoe adjuster wheel as much as possible. Take out the upper return spring (1) from both the anchor pin (3) and the rear brake shoe, as well as the upper return spring (2) from the anchor pin (3) and the front brake shoe. After that, use your hand to remove the hold-down springs and pins (1, 2) by turning them 90 degrees. Lift the leather pad at the brake shoe to unhook the parking brake cable from the lever behind it. All of the brake shoes (2 and 6), the adjuster (5) and the lower return spring (3) can be removed as a group from the support plate. If required, get rid of the strut (1) and then slide out the shoes (2, 6) for the lower return spring (3) and adjuster (5) to load into the washing machine.
