2007 Chrysler Sebring TPMS Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a TPMS Sensor on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The tire pressure sensor must be serviced after raising and supporting the vehicle. Once that's done, unscrew the wheel nuts and lift off the tire and wheel together. Keep the original valve stem cap on your tire, as it has a sealable O-ring and don't switch it out with a regular valve stem cap. Since the core of the valve stem is plated in brass and the rest is aluminum, you need to put the core back to stop corrosion from different metals. Make sure not to use the Bead Breaker around the sensor as you pull the tire off the rim and follow the manufacturer's steps to remove the tire. When you're removing the tire, put the mounting/dismounting tool just above the valve stem on both sides at approximately 10° from the rim. Then, remove the sensor nut that is holding the sensor to the wheel, but be sure to keep pressure on the rear of the metal valve stem to stop it from pushing back against the antenna strap. The last step is to take off the sensor from the wheel.
