How to Safely Remove and Service an Air Bag on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?

Before touching the air bag, open the hood and remove the battery negative connection. Give the system reserve capacitor two minutes to discharge before working on any air bag elements so you don't risk a serious or fatal injury. Taking care behind the wheel, gently remove the little covers from the driver air bag bolts and remove both bolts. Pull the air bag cable back and detach both of the air bag squib connectors. After everything is connected, pull out the air bag from the vehicle. Whenever you install a new air bag, it's necessary to also replace the Clock Spring.
