  A: The first step is to attach the pulley hub onto the shaft on the power steering pump. To install Installer C-4063C on the pump for later builds with shallow internal threads, place 13 mm (0.5 in.) of washers over the pulley, unless the shaft hole depth is 20 mm (0.78 in.), as Earlier builds measure 32 mm (1.25 in.). If needed, put the stack of washers over the hub of the pulley. Only use Installer C-4063C with Forcing Screw C-4063-2 during this operation. Make sure Thread Installer C-4063C is in the internal threads of the power steering pump shaft, then turn the Installer Nut down against the washers on the pump pulley. Have the Installer Nut turn only once the pulley and special tool are flush with the shaft. Once finished, take the special tool out of the pump and install the pump onto your engine.
