2007 Dodge Caliber Control Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to install the upper control arm on 2007 Dodge Caliber?
A: After placing the upper control arm, secure it to the crossmember with a bolt but don't make it tight yet. Then, fit the bolt and nut at the top of the control arm that join it to the trailing link, but don't tighten anything yet. After that, fit the tire and create the wheel assembly before tightening the wheel mounting nuts to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Place the car on the ground and lift it onto an alignment rack or drive-on lift, raising or lowering it to reach the mounting bolts and nuts. Screw the upper control arm mounting bolt at the crossmember to a tightness of 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) and the upper controls mounting bolt nut at the trailing link to the same level. Perform wheel alignment whenever it becomes necessary.
