2007 Dodge Caliber Oil Pan Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Oil Pan on 2007 Dodge Caliber?
A: Before working on the oil pan, lift the car on a hoist and remove the oil drain plug (2) from the bottom of the pan to drain the oil. After that, remove the accessory drive belt cover and, when present, unbolt the A/C compressor lower mounting bolt and lift out the A/C mounting bracket (2). Precaution: do not use pry points on the block when you take off the oil pan. After the bolts are removed, scrape around the oil pan seal with a putty knife (1) and lift the pan (2) free from its position.
