Before assembling the pump, place it (3) into the water pump housing and secure with mounting bolts (2) by tightening them to 24 Nm (212 in. lbs.). After that, place the water pump pulley (1) and tighten its bolt to 9 Nm (79 in lbs.). After that, install the drive belt splash shield and put the vehicle back down. Place the accessory drive belt, reattach the battery negative terminal and refill the cooling system using the instructions found in the standard cooling system refilling guide.
