2007 Dodge Caravan ABS Control Module Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install the ABS Control Module on 2007 Dodge Caravan?
A: Carefully clear any foreign material from the parts that fit together for the HCU and ABM. Proper sealing depends on replacing the O-ring for the internal pump connector and the seals on the solenoid valve and you should not apply any lubricant to these new parts. Replace the stems of your solenoid valve with your hands; using sharp things is not recommended. When the pump/motor connector O-ring looks used, you should replace it. Install each part by putting everything in its intended place on the HCU. When the car does not have traction control, use three screws to join the ABM to the HCU. Be sure to tighten these to 2 Nm (17 in.lbs.). Secure the vehicles with traction control as well using four screws and tighten them to 2 Nm (17 in.lbs.) torque. After the cover is open, attach the 47-way connector to the ABM socket and close the cover to ensure it's secure. After that, slide the battery tray in place and attach the screw to the coolant filler neck. Attach the vacuum hose connector at the tank inside the battery tray and se Finally, link the negative cable to the battery negative post, connect a scan tool to start the ABM and see if there are any issues and head out for a drive to confirm the brakes are working.
