2007 Dodge Caravan Intake Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace an Intake Manifold on 2007 Dodge Caravan?
A: You should first clean the bolting areas of the intake manifold and add a new gasket on the new manifold before replacing it. Subsequently, place the upper intake manifold and tighten the fasteners in the correct order to 31 Nm (275 in. lbs.) until all fasteners reach that value. Using the given torque sequence for the intake manifold support bracket is necessary to keep from causing leaks. Insert the engine oil dipstick and attach the upper bolt from the intake manifold to the front support bracket, then put in the lower intake manifold support nut, secure it to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). Torque the bolt holding the upper intake manifold support in place to 28 Nm or 250 in. lbs. After that, put in the EGR tube, secure the throttle cables on the bracket and link the throttle and speed control cables to the throttle lever. On the upper intake manifold, join the power brake booster vacuum, LDP vacuum, EGR transducer vacuum and speed control vacuum reservoir as well as the vacuum lines for the purge solenoid and PCV valve. Attach the electrical wires to the MAP sensor, throttle position sensor (TPS) and idle air control (IAC) motor. Next, attach the air cleaner upper part to the motorcycle, put in the intake tube, hook the temperature sensor to the air cleaner housing and put the negative cable back on the battery.
