2007 Dodge Dakota Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Crankshaft Seal and Its Related Components on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: You should first ensure the damper bore and crankshaft nose are free of debris, so the crankshaft, damper and Special Tool 8512 aren't affected when installing the front crankshaft seal. Then, fit the crankshaft front seal with Special Tool 8348 and 8512 before placing the vibration damper. After you're done with everything, put in the radiator cooling fan and shroud and finally the upper radiator hose. Mount the A/C compressor, using a tightening torque of 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.) and then add the accessory drive belt. After that, fill up the cooling system and link negative cable to the battery.
