How to Remove the Vapor Canister from the Fuel Tank on 2007 Dodge Dakota?

The EVAP canister is fixed above the fuel tank and relies on a convenient no-filler method for detachment. Jack up the vehicle, support it at the front and get the left rear wheel off and the shield front of it to have access to the EVAP canister and ESIM switch. Disconnect the vapor hose from the ESIM switch and then press both tabs on the EVAP canister to free the vapor line by pulling it away. After that, loosen and take out the plastic clip supporting the canister top and use the screwdriver to ply up and remove it from the fuel tank, since the other end of the canister rests on two plastic legs.
