How to Service and Repair a Muffler on 2007 Dodge Dakota?

Before working on the muffler, lift the vehicle with a hoist. After that, remove the tail pipe and unclip the muffler-to-catalytic converter clamp (3). After you've separated the muffler, pull the isolators out of position 1 and 4 and finally remove the muffler from the catalytic converter by lifting it off 5.
