How to Install a Camshaft Position Sensor on a 3.7L Engine on 2007 Dodge Durango?

Ensure that you wash out the Camshaft Position Sensor's machined hole on the cylinder head before you try to fit the sensor. Following that, rub a smidgen of engine oil on to the sensor O-ring. Place the sensor (3) into the cylinder head (1) by gently rocking and twisting it until the sensor is flush with the cylinder's surface to keep the sensor from breaking. Once you have put the sensor in place, place bolt (2) and tighten it to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.). Then, connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
