2007 Dodge Grand Caravan Oil Pan Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install an Oil Pan on 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: After cleaning the sealing surfaces, put a 1/8 inch bead of Mopar(R) Engine RTV GEN II at the line between the chain case cover and the rear seal retainer. After that, set a new gasket on the oil pan and attach the pan, tightening its bolts to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Afterwards, mount the transaxle's cover and connect the strut bolt to the housing, making sure every bending brace bolt is snug. Place the drive belt splash shield next, lower the vehicle and install the oil dipstick. After that, attach the negative cable to the battery and add oil to the crankcase until it is full.
