2007 Dodge Magnum Tie Rod End Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Tie Rod End on a Rear-Wheel-Drive for Outer on 2007 Dodge Magnum?
A: Before you can service the outer tie rod on a rear-wheel-drive car, support it on a jack stand and take off the three wheel mounting nuts and front wheel assembly. As you loosen the nut on the jam sleeve and turn the inner tie rod, be careful not to rotate the bellows; remove the clamp and make sure the bellows can move before you continue. Then, use a tie rod ratchet to gently move the nut on the outer tie rod in the opposite direction to the screw. After removing the nut from the outer tie rod, use Remover, Special Tool 9360, to separate the outer tie rod end from the knuckle. After that, loosen the outer tie rod off the inner tie rod, noting how many times it turns which will guide your toe adjustment and help when assembling the rod back.
