How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lid Latch on 2007 Dodge Magnum?

The first step to servicing the trunk/liftgate latch is to raise the liftgate and take off the negative battery cable. After that, remove the lower trim panel from inside the liftgate. Cut the pigtail wire connector from the liftgate's wire harness. Following that, remove the three nuts holding the latch to the studs inside the liftgate, to take out the latch.
