Start by confirming the ball studs on the liftgate and liftgate area are perfect and correctly installed; after that, tighten them to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Set the ball socket on the end of the inside support cylinder into the holes of the liftgate opening trough. Press until the retainer clip engages. After that, attach the ball socket at the rod end of the support cylinder to the ball stud on the liftgate, pressing it until you hear the retainer clip snap. After that, check that each retaining clip on the support cylinder ball socket end is sitting properly and take the service prop or block out. Then close the liftgate.
