2007 Dodge Nitro Ignition Lock Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Lock Cylinder on 2007 Dodge Nitro?
A: To deal with the ignition lock cylinder, first you must take out the Steering Column Control Module from the steering column. At this stage, pull out the screw holding the Skreem/Wcm to the lock cylinder housing and take the fingers from those retaining the Skreem/Wcm out of the lock cylinder housing. Slide the key into the lock and move the key cylinder to Run, then press firmly on the key cylinder retaining tab with the proper tool through the slot in the lock cylinder housing. Do not pull the cylinder out and leave the key on the lock. Fasten a five point Tamper-Proof Torx(R) Plus 30 bit into your machine, unscrew the screws holding the lock cylinder housing to the column and lift the lock cylinder housing away from the column. You need to now remove the screw that holds the ignition module in place and pull the module straight off the retaining tabs on the lock cylinder housing.
