2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Fuel Rail Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install the Fuel Rail for a 3.7L Engine on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: Make sure to first clean the fuel injector machined bores inside the intake manifold before installing the fuel rail and fuel injectors for the 3.7L engine. Use a little engine oil on every fuel injector O-ring before you put them in. Line up the fuel rail/fuel injector assembly at the machined openings on the cylinder head and introduce the injectors by hand, making certain that the O-rings are still intact. With the rail tilted, insert the injectors so the feet come in contact with the cylinder head shoulder on the right first and then flip the rail and do the same on the left. Fasten on the four fuel rail bolts, them the six ignition coils. Securely connect the electric connector to every fuel injection and to the throttle body by pushing it on each injector and snapping the red slider into place and check the connection by giving the connector a light tug. Hook up any necessary vacuum lines to the throttle body, put the air resonator bracket in place with two bolts near the front of the throttle body and attach the fuel latch clip and fuel line to the fuel rail. Attach the air box to the throttle body and install the air duct to the air box afterward. After completing everything else, hook up the battery cable to the battery, start the engine and look for any leaks.
