How to Service and Repair a Rocker Arm Assembly on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?

Remove the cylinder head cover as the first step to servicing or repairing the rocker arm assembly. Then, install retaining plate 9070 and gently loosen the rocker shafts as instructed. Rocker shafts for intake and exhaust shafts are not the same, so intake arms are marked with an "I" on them. Do not mix up the shaft locations, as this will help with reassembly. Remember, push rods for the exhaust are longer and those for the intake are shorter. Take out the pushrods and pay attention to where they were before. It's not recommended to take the retainers out of the rocker shaft, as it might cause the assembly tangs at the base of the retainers to break and let oil into the engine.
