2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Brake Booster Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Hydraulic Brake Booster on 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: To connect the hydraulic brake booster, set it in place, tighten all mounting nuts to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.) and secure any other screws. Then, put the booster push rod, a washer and a clip on to the brake pedal. Afterward, connect the master cylinder to the mounting studs and fasten them using nuts tightened to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Once the brake lines are installed, tighten them on the master cylinder to get 19 Nm (170 in. lbs.) of torque. Fit the hydraulic booster line bracket to the front studs and add the master cylinder mounting nuts to secure it, tightening both to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Fit the hydraulic booster pressure lines into the booster and bracket, after tightening them to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) and making sure the o-rings on the pressure line fittings are still good. Link the return line to the booster, push out the air in the base brake system and put the Mopar (Ms-9602) Atf+4 fluid inside the steering pump, not adding any other fluid to the system. In the end, bleed the hydraulic booster.
