Start by fitting a prop rod on the brake pedal while the master cylinder is open, then both the brake lines and fluid will be protected against draining during the removal and replacement of the front light duty brake caliper. After that, hoist the vehicle and remove the wheel and tire assembly. Apply pressure to the disc brake caliper, remove the banjo bolt and throw away the copper washers. Then, remove the caliper slide pin bolts and get rid of the caliper from the caliper adapter. Take out the caliper slide pins from the adapter last.
