2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain Your Rear Seat Belt and Retractor on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
A: Check all rear seat belts, buckles, mounting hardware, retractors, tether straps and anchors to ensure they are installed and operating properly or damage free and replace any cut, frayed or torn belts, straighten twisted belts, tighten loose fasteners and replace any damaged or ineffective buckles, retractors, latch plates or anchor plates. Pull out the bench seat with its seat belt and retractor and afterward remove the plastic board from the back of the rear seat. Grab the seat belt buckle on the right hand side of the back seat and unfasten it. Unclip the plastic cover and remove it from the screw attaching the left outboard seat belt lower anchor to the frame of the seat cushion. Use a screwdriver to undo the screws holding every lower anchor to the seat's frame. With that, take out both the lower anchor and the set of two washers and a spacer. Pull up the seat belt webbing of each outer seat, find the plastic push pin fastener and release it to remove the seat belt turning loop trim cover from the seat back bracket above. Take out the trim covers from the turning loop brackets and from both seat belts and then remove the trim cover and padding from the rear seat back. Remove the cover from the back of the rear seat back frame and throw away the push nut from the pivot pin at that bracket. Get rid of the pin, both turning loops and the two bushings from the turning loop bracket. Pass the seat belt latch, lower anchor and webbing via the turning loops and turning loop bracket at the top of the seat back's frame. For the last step, take out the screw that fixes the rear seat belt retractor to its bracket on the rear seat cushion and lift out the rear seat belt and retractor as a single unit from that bracket.
