  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Steering Knuckle on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
    A: Start by raising and supporting the vehicle and then take off the front wheels to reach the steering knuckle. Later, remove the outer tie rod-end nut and then use 9360 special tool to cut the tie rod free from the steering knuckle. After that, take off the tie rod end shield, then the bolts holding the disc brake caliper adapter and the rotor set screw. Take out the wheel speed sensor nut attached to the knuckle and then remove the sensor from the knuckle. Once that is done, take out the lower ball joint nut and use tool 9282 to separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle. Go on to remove the bolts that connect the strut onto the knuckle, remove the strut from the knuckle and then pull out the steering knuckle.
