2007 Jeep Commander Headlight Bulb Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: Before starting any headlamp servicing, remove and separate the battery negative cable. Get rid of the cover that is located over the front lamp unit. Afterwards, separate the pigtail wire connector at the back of the front lamp unit housing, from the connector receptacle attached to the low beam or high beam bulb base. Grasp the base and rotate it in the opposite direction, about a quarter-turn, to let go of the lock. After that, pull the bulb and its base straight out of the opening on the reflector. Precautions should be taken so no oil, finer or dirt from your hand enters the bulb glass. The procedure is used for both low and high beam bulbs, although differences can be seen in the bulb location, shape and type.
