2007 Jeep Commander Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Second Row Center Seat Belt on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: Fold and tumble the second row right outboard seat forward toward the front to get to the center seat belt lower anchor more easily. Remove the screw that fixes the second row center seat belt lower anchor to the right edge of the center seat support bracket. Place a trim stick or anything with a wide blade under the seat belt escutcheon and secure it one centimeter above the second-row center seat back to unlock its barrel clips. Slide the end of the seat belt webbing into the escutcheon hole to take the belt webbing out. Then, take away the bottom and top pieces of trim from the back and top of the second row center seat back frame. Draw the center seat back cushion away from the top right of the front of the seat, then take out the two screws that keep the retractor shield attached. Remove the retractor shield from the back of the seat cushion and after that remove the screw from the center back frame. After that, pull out the center seat belt clip in the upper right area of the seat back and remove the retractor unit. At all times, make sure to inspect each seat belt, buckle, mounting part, retractor, tether strap and anchor, replacing those that are broken with new parts found in the DaimlerChrysler Mopar Parts Catalog.
