When providing seat belt or child restraint anchor service, examine everything for installation, operation and damage and replace any cut, frayed or torn belts, untwist twisted belts, retighten loose fasteners and install new buckles, retractors, latch plates or anchor plates if they are damaged. Do not repair these parts on your own; always buy and install new and unused parts found in the DaimlerChrysler Mopar(R) Parts Catalog. Engineer the second row center seat belt and retractor unit through the upper right corner opening of the seat back frame, so that the tab in the retractor clicks into the slot in the frame. Tighten the retractor in place by screwing it into the rear support frame at the back of the center seat back to reach 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.). After pulling the foam seat back cushion off, set the retractor shield against the back frame and screw it in tightly with two screws fixed at 18 in. lbs or 2 Nm. Once again, put the trim into place on the frame at the back and top of the second row center seat back. Feel the webbing through the slot in the seat belt escutcheon and secure the escutcheon to the top of the center seat back, making sure the barrel clips catch and snap into place as you push it down. Connect the seat belt's lower anchor to the buckle bracket on the right center seat support bracket, with the webbing straight, tighten it to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) and you're done. Put the right second row seat back to its seating spot along the wall of the vehicle.
