  A: Return to the battery first and disconnect the negative cable. To service a front tilt motor, first remove the seat that doesn't work and then take the seat cushion and pan off as well. Detach the motor's electrical connector and remove all the fasteners holding the motor to the seat adjuster before you remove it. If the motor is not working and the seat isn't fully in the raised position, use care while removing the assembly since the spring may cause the motor or assembly to move as it is under load. If your car has a height adjust motor, elevate the power seat to its highest position before removing the battery. First remove the damaged seat, after that remove the cushion and the pan. Open the electrical connector of the motor, take out the bolts holding it onto the seat adjuster, remove one screw and washer from the motor shaft and take off the motor from where it fastens to the seat adjusters.
