How to Service a Dimmer Switch on 2007 Jeep Compass?

To install / remove dimmer switch, switch off the supplemental restraint system by disconnecting battery negative cable. Take off the steering column shrouds, the instrument panel wire harness, and unscrew the left multi-function switch. Move it out of the way of the Clock Spring, and un-hook the jumper wire, and take out the switch.
