Install the alarm siren module the first, verify the condition and correct arrangement of the two U-nuts (3) in the outboard side of the right front fender load path beam. Secure the siren module to the load path beam, then use the two screws to connect the bracket on the U-nuts and tighten them to 5 Nm (40 in. lbs.). Join the engine compartment wire harness connector (5) to its receptacle in the siren, put the splash shield into the front right wheel house and reattach the battery negative cable. You need to use a diagnostic scan tool to configure the new unit in the Intrusion Transceiver Module (Itm) after replacing the alarm siren module, then use Miscellaneous Functions, finding the Initialize Siren option for the Itm menu so the Vtss operates normally.
