2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Front Brake Disc While Maintaining Original Orientation on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Start by raising and supporting the vehicle and then take off the wheel and tire. Take the bolts (3) out of the adapter mounting area and remove the caliper adapter from the knuckle. Tie the caliper anchor assembly to a close-by part of the suspension, making certain the brake hose does not take the weight of the caliper. Take out the o-ring (2) sealing the front disc rotor (1) to the hub and then remove the disc brake rotor from the bearing. Always write on the rotor and hub/bearing before removal to keep them in the correct position, since front rotors and hub/bearings are specifically fastened to reduce lateral runout.
