How to Service and Repair a Rear Parking Brake Cable on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Before handling the parking brake cable at the rear, take out the rear seat and connectors on the final drive control module. Following that, remove the nuts from the final drive control bracket mount and pull out the rear sill plates. Remove the carpet and locate the rear park brake cables before locking out the cable. Unhook the brake cables from the equalizer and remove the park brake cables through a point in the floor. Pick up the vehicle on jack stands and tear down the wheel assembly, caliper and disc rotor from the rear. First, at the back of the brake actuator lever and at the park brake shoes, detach the park brake cable. Unscrew the bolts holding the stabilizer bar bushing clamp and remove the two park brake cable push pins to the axle. After that, remove the cable from the support plate and remove it out of the whole car.
