How to Install a 3.7L Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Check that every pulley on the engine is working properly before putting in the serpentine accessory drive belt. Correctly arranging the belt is important to stop the engine from overheating because of the wrong pump rotation. Wrap the belt around all the pulleys, except the idler pulley, then turn the tensioner arm until it is pressing against the top of its track. Then, guide the belt around the idler pulley and let the tensioner roll in, fitting well on all pulleys in place. Following installation, check the belt wear indicator; the distance between the tang and the housing stop has to be less than 24 mm (0.94 inches).
