2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Thermostat Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Thermostat on a 3.7L or 4.7L Engine on 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery before trying to service or repair your engine's thermostat. Pour the liquid out of the radiator into a clean container to save it for other uses if it's clean. You should use a thermostat that fits the make and model of your vehicle and its engine. Load the vehicle up on a hoist, then remove the splash shield. Remove the clamp on the lower radiator hose and take it off the thermostat housing. Lastly, disconnect and remove the housing bolts, the housing and the thermostat.
