2007 Jeep Liberty Catalytic Converter Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Remove a Catalytic Converter from a 3.7L Engine on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: The first step is to support and raise the vehicle to get to the catalytic converter. Dip the bolts and nuts in heat valve lubricant, so that they sit in the lubricant for 5 minutes. Before getting the nuts out, disconnect the oxygen sensor wirings, then take out the nuts from the front exhaust pipe and catalytic converter attached to the muffler flange. Following that, take out the bolts and flanged nuts from the manifold area. Move the front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter assembly backward and, if your vehicle is equipped with a transmission mount, remove it from there.
