2007 Jeep Liberty Washer Reservoir Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Washer Reservoir on 2007 Jeep Liberty?
A: Place the windshield washer reservoir in the proper position in the right front fender wheel house, insert the filler neck for the windshield washer reservoir (2) through the given clearance opening in the panel extension and tighten its retaining screws (3) in place. Raise the reservoir, work the hook tab on top into the rear slot and secure it by tightening the front screws to 7 Nm (65 in. lbs.). Connect the rear washer hose into the reservoir trough so that it runs behind the washer pump/motor and make sure the front washer hose leads forward. The rear hose is easy to spot by the nearby connector joining it to the engine compartment hose above the reservoir. Place the front and rear washer hoses (3) into the appropriate nipples on the washer pump/motor so the rear hose goes to the rear (black) nipple and the front hose to the front (blue) nipple. Plug the headlamp and dash wire harness (2) connector (1) into the receptacle (3) on the top of the motor housing. Maximum Seat Position the front edge of the wheelhouse splash shield to the top of the inner fender and front fascia and reinstall the plastic push-in fasteners. Low the vehicle and put a new blind rivet through the hole in the upper radiator crossmember to attach the washer reservoir filler neck support bracket to it. After fitting the air cleaner housing to the top of the right front fender wheel house, reattach the battery's negative cable and put the siphoned fluid into the washer reservoir.
