How to Remove and Replace a Drive Belt on a Gas Engine on 2007 Jeep Patriot?

Before you replace the drive belt, see that the belt is set on the pulleys with the end tabs inside the V-grooves. Wrap the accessory drive belt (2) over all the pulleys except the one on the generator (3). Then, hold the wrench and turn the accessory drive belt tensioner (8) counterclockwise until there is enough space under the accessory drive belt (2) to slip it on the generator pulley (3). Last, push the spring down to rest onto the accessory drive belt (2).
