How to Service and Repair a Wiper Motor on 2007 Jeep Patriot?

The first step for servicing the front wiper motor is to disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Take out the front wiper module (1) from your car. Place both screwdrivers between the wiper crank arm and the metal portion of the drive link, pushing and loosening them careful, to pull the socket bushing (3) away from the ball on the wiper motor's crank arm (4). After that, remove the sleeve bushing (2) of the driver wiper drive link from the ball stud on the wiper motor crank arm. After that, take out the two screws (2) holding the motor bracket (4) to the module bracket (1). Also, take out the wiper motor and crank arm unit from the lower part of the module bracket.
