How to Safely Remove Rear Coil Springs on 2008 Chrysler 300?

To remove the rear coil spring, lift the vehicle, take the wheel and (if necessary) the fuel filler tube off. Support the engine cradle using jack stands. If required, lower the exhaust and then tighten the rear axle with a jack. Remove the shock absorber and unlink the brake hose and then lower the crossmember to extract the coil spring.
