2008 Chrysler Aspen Brake Pad Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install Brake Pads on 2008 Chrysler Aspen?
A: Squeeze the brake pads on the rotor sides with a C-clamp before slipping an old brake shoe between the piston and the clamp. Take out the caliper mounting adapter and anti-rattle springs, clean each and then lubricate the anti-rattle springs only, as they are each specific to their side. Install the anti-rattle spring in the bottom first and afterwards, place it in the top. After that, put an inboard brake shoe in the adapter and then add the outboard brake shoe. Place the upper side of the caliper over the rotor and then drive the caliper assembly down over the adapter. First, place the caliper on the flange, then the wheel and tire assembly and drop the vehicle to the ground. Press your brakes several times so they seat fully, making the pedal firm and then make sure to refill the master cylinder with brake fluid.
