How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lid Latch on 2008 Chrysler Aspen?

To look after and repair the trunk or liftgate latch, first detach the liftgate trim panels. After that, lift the grooved end of the latch actuator rod off the metal tab on the handle outside. After that, remove the latch actuator rod from the swing clip of the latch. Following this step, remove the electrical connector from the engine. After that, remove the screws and remove the latch.
