How to remove the Front Upper Control Arm on 2008 Chrysler Crossfire?

You need to raise and stabilize the vehicle, remove the front wheel and tire and then work to unlock the front upper control arm from its mounting points. Accessing the bolt for the upper control arm means the air cleaner housing must be removed. Don't remove the shock absorber as you continue the process. Use wire to secure the steering knuckle to the shock absorber so it doesn't fall off the vehicle. After that, take out the ball joint nut from the upper control arm. Be careful not to pull on the brake hose or the wire for the wheel speed sensor and don't tighten the bolt on the tool with an air tool. Use Special Tool 9168 Ball Joint Puller to push the upper ball joint out of where it is attached to the steering knuckle. Detach the upper control arm once more, by removing the nut and bolt you noticed inside the shock tower through the engine compartment.
