2008 Chrysler Pacifica Drive Belt Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace the Drive Belt on a 3.8L Engine on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before exchanging the belt, you should first lift the car, disconnect the accessory drive belt shield and access the belt. Don't forget to secure the tensioner before pulling the old belt off, to avoid a popped tensioner and possibly hurting yourself. Lock a wrench to the tensioner lug, then loosen the belt by turning the tensioner counterclockwise. As soon as the tension is over, lift the drive belt and gently place the tensioner back in its relaxed spot.
