2008 Chrysler Pacifica Exhaust Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace an Exhaust Manifold for Right on 2008 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: It's suggested to use new fasteners between the manifold and cylinder head when doing this task. The exhaust manifold (5) goes first on the cylinder head and then you secure and tighten the bolts to the center runner (cylinder #3) to 2.8 Nm (25 in. lbs.) Examine the crossover pipe joints for possible heat and corrosion damage, because the bolts are made of a specific stainless steel alloy; in case something should be replaced, use original bolts. After that, fit a new gasket, then secure the crossover pipe onto the exhaust manifold and tighten the bolts (2) to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Connect the last of the manifold bolts, turn each to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). Next, mount and connect the upstream oxygen sensor (5) and plug the wires into each spark plug. Secure the IAC (2), TPS (3) and the EVAP hose onto the throttle body and then set in the air cleaner housing. Hold up the vehicle and join the catalytic converter pipe with the exhaust manifold by putting a gasket in place, then tighten the bolts using a torque of 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.). In the end, link up the cable from the battery to the negative terminal.
