2007 Chrysler Pacifica Exhaust Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Remove and Replace an Exhaust Manifold on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: When mounting the exhaust manifold, new manifold to cylinder head bolts or studs are advised. First, position the exhaust manifold on the cylinder head and bolt it to cylinder #3's center runner and put in 2.8 Nm (25 in. lbs.) of tension at the start. Look for signs that the special stainless steel bolts have been damaged by heat or corrosion; OEM bolts should be used for replacement. Place a new gasket on end of exhaust manifold and secure the crossover pipe with three bolts set to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). After that, insert the rest of the manifold attaching bolts and tighten each one to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). Set up the upstream oxygen sensor, connect it and then fix the wires to the spark plugs. Start at the IAC, TPS and EVAP hose, then connect them all to the throttle body and finally place the air cleaner housing. Send the vehicle up jack stands and secure the catalytic converter pipe to the exhaust manifold by pushing the gasket between them and locking it in. Then, tighten the bolts to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.). Now, attach the battery negative wire.
